I'd never played this one before on the emulator and I can't quite articulate in words what it was like opening a new Zelda game on N64 for the first time in twenty plus years. It was like getting a few bonus hours with a long passed relative. Familiar in many ways, yet also new and exciting. Many weapons and items I never thought I'd see on young link. The balance between nostalgia and new content is so perfectly executed. And the difficulty of the last boss was impressive. As it stands this is my third favorite Zelda game on the system but still in my top ten for the whole library.
It short but still good I wish it was as long as the original game. I felt that it I could have been a knock out of it was even more longer.. maybe the ultimate trail will make a appearance on a 64 cartridge to me hopping.
